The financial ramifications of divorce can be devastating.  But, with proper planning, understanding the issues and implications, you and your spouse can increase the chance of reaching an equitable settlement that works to meet the short and longer term financial needs of you both - and those of your children.

Certified Divorce Financial Analysts are trained to assist you to gather and compile your financial information, prepare scenarios of possible settlements, and help you to understand the up-side and down-side of the various options.

A CDFA can be appointed by one of you or jointly as a neutral.  If jointly appointed, I cannot give either of you advice that will disadvantage your spouse, but can help you both work out options that can meet both of your needs (see Mediation). 

Typically I will prepare a marital balance sheet, a net of tax cash flow forecast, and a net worth forecast.  These will help us to look at the implications of how different asset divisions will impact your cash flow and your overall financial health over time.

To get started, you will need to collect all the documents needed to complete your Sworn Financial Statement.  Of course, if you have any difficulty with the completion of this form, we can assist you.
